summertime : updates, infodump and lots of things to talk about!

Big update coming so please, grab your beverage of choice, maybe something delicious and get comfortable!

First of all, we'd like to deeply apologise for the delay in this preorder. We have worked so hard in recent years and months to cut down our wait times and to be as productive as possible. The last thing we want to do is keep people waiting but we also want to produce wigs to the highest quality that we can. However, this year and moving back to England has been tricky and we had to resource new suppliers and figure out how to do things logistically in the new space and it has taken far longer to get back into our rhythm than we had expected. We have ironed out all of those typical teething problems after moving and if I'm honest, the move has changed more than I ever thought it could.

I'd like to be really honest with all of you and admit that I had really struggled with burnout in the past year. I was homesick, overworking and creatively stagnant and It was making me really anxious, stressed and generally quite miserable. Frappzilla Studio was our little baby, born from nothing but a passion and a hobby and led into something bigger than we thought it would, which we are so thankful for but after many years of doing it, without taking breaks or weekends, the passion began to slip away. On top of missing England and feeling really isolated in a foreign country, it was all just too much and I wasn't happy with how things were going at all. Since coming home its been quite chaotic. Between needing to furnish an apartment and find new supplies that work as well as what we had been using, it has been stressful but now that the basics are all taken care of and things are settling down, my passion and love for this shop has also returned. In the reshuffle of trying to get things done, we've found ways of making improvements that we hadn't noticed needed them before; better sized boxes, a more flexible cap, a new timetable to work to; and while it was slow to get there, it feels really good! We're getting help from family members now which helps take a lot of the stress out of trying to manage everything between two people and wigmaking no longer feels like its monotonous anymore and has become a breath of fresh air again! 

We have help with scheduling now so we'd like to inform you of our plans for this summer!

All wigs will start to be sent out from July 7th 
This is every outstanding order that we have. Everything has been made and worked on and is now just being finished off and boxes being labelled! Since things are being shipped from England now and we have access to a car, shipping should be much easier than it was in Spain. There may be a price adjustment in the shipping prices for the next preorder (increase or decrease!) and we will notify you of that closer to the time. ​

The new preorder will open after all orders have been sent out. We don't want to take on new work until everything is out the door. This will be by Mid July (absolute latest) but as always, if you are curious as to whether or not we can make something specific for you, please get in touch now so we can confirm that this is possible ahead of opening. 

Alex will mostly be taking care of the preorder as I am going to be working on SUMMER PREMADE wigs which I am so excited about. Its been too long since i got to experiment with colours and styles and we are anticipating August to be a fun summer event with daily wigs uploaded to the site every (or most!) days! If there is something you'd like to see, send us a message and we'll keep it in mind!

Our boxes are now bigger so if you do want to order multiple wigs we won't have to ship in multiple boxes at once. 

And finally another really exciting update is that while I was working on commissions, Alex worked on some Alpaca premade wigs! 
We plan on launching them on the site after the preorder wigs have been shipped (first come first served) but if you're interested in them before we get them all listed on the site please send us a message and we can get them sent out with the preorder. We have various styles; long, bobs, pigtails and ponytails in sizes Minifee and Momonita in various tones; chestnut, roan, hot pink, icy grey and blonde.  There are a few in progress shots he posted on IG while h was making them. It takes a long time to get everything photographed and listed on the site so please do contact us ahead of then if you might be interested!
