MOVING FORWARD

7/4/2019

As this preorder comes to a close, I wanted to address some issues we have encountered over the last few months and what we're going to do to fix them.

Firstly, our wait times are always something we are trying to improve. We know that the last preorder went on much longer than we had wanted it to and originally planned it to be but between deaths in the family and moving country, we did what we could. Of course, we'd like to avoid this from happening again. We are now settled and in the right rhythm but to avoid disappointment and a lot of pressure we have decided to extend our wait times, despite wanting to take less orders. While we anticipate that orders will actually be finished much sooner, we would rather customers anticipate a longer wait and be pleasantly surprised when they receive their shipping notice, rather than the opposite. We understand that waiting is stressful and it is not our intention to make things longer than they need to be. We acknowledge that wait times have been an issue for us in the past and we are working to fix this as best we can.

Secondly, despite the shop stating we are closed, we still often have people placing orders after the pre-order dates. When we open for orders we often get flooded quite quickly and with the way that the shop has been set up, its not easy to track and follow orders coming in so we have often taken more than we had expected to. To avoid this we will now be switching to a slot based system.

On a specific day every month we will upload x many listings to the store. Each listing will be for $1 or less. These will be considered slots and yes multiple can be ordered at a time. Once you have successfully reserved your slot and discussed your order with us, you will then have a custom listing set up for you. This way we won't take too many orders, won't stretch ourselves too thin and will be able to invest more time and attention into each custom wig. Payment must be completed within 24 hours or we will release the slot again to someone else.

Since we will limit the amount of commission slots we will offer, we will also release some pre-made alpaca and soy wigs every month as well. Not only will this give us more room for creativity but it gives us more opportunity to expand what we can offer and have space to experiment with new ideas, new styles, new colours and materials. We won't need to worry about timeframes so much as everything will be ready to go!

As people have requested it, by reducing the amount of commissions that we take and streamlining the system, we will be able to open our fibre shop as well. We are planning to release pre-prepared packs once again, to avoid any un-necessary wait times.

We are so grateful for your support and for the customers that did wait longer than they had to in the past, we are very sorry. We are excited to move forward and open the pre-order towards the end of next week in the new format and see where we go from there.

I hope that these changes will create a smoother and more pleasurable experience for everybody.

Honestly? Your work is worth the wait. I've ordered several wigs from you over the past years and I've loved every single one. Whilst the wait might become longer than you anticipated, I never worry because I know that you two are working hard and doing the best you can.

But I understand that not everyone might share my opinion. I think that these changes will be for the best to make sure that Frappzilla continues to thrive and make you happy :)
