Frappzilla Wig Kits - June HONEY OPAL
Honey base with hints of pastel
But of course you can mix and match and save them for a future bloom!
available wig kits for you to create a wig for your little bloom.
It should be noted that the wig kits will change monthly and we aren't sure when we will add these colours into stock again.
Each kit includes the conditioned, dyed fibre in its raw form (See image of lemon fibre). a few bands and piece of the material that we use for our wig caps.
You will need to purchase other supplies to follow the tutorial (see the supply list) but many of these items are affordable, you may already have them at home or you can use something similar. You can also use alternative glues and cap materials based on preference and availability but if you have any questions please feel free to message us on Instagram.
You will follow a tutorial video to show you how we make our wigs for tinies and prepare the raw fibre to make it wig ready!
Each month new colours will be available and new style tutorials will be explored.
The Second video will look at shorter cuts, while the first video (still processing) will show you how to create a simple long style.
We are hoping that throughout the year we can level up your wig making skills as projects increase in difficulty not only in style, but in colour usage too. We are starting with something nice and simple but if you prefer to save these kits for another month you can use some techniques we explore later to make these fibres more unique!
This is a fun project estimated to take 2-3 hours over the course of a couple of days while you wait for glue to dry.
------
Please see the shopping supply list.
Not included on the list is also a toothbrush as they are useful for styling soy wigs.
This is my preferred choice of tool for creating wigs as the glue peels off easily without the need to soak a brush in boiling water to get all the glue out.
However if you cannot locate one of these, this type of paintbrush (I've used for many years!) might be more accessible. The thickness is a matter of preference but the smaller the doll, the smaller the brush I prefer.

Frappzilla Wig Kits - April
Pastel Rainbow - Confetti Blend - although not identical, it is similar to our pastel pop blend so I've attached a photo for reference.
Watercolour Blend - I left out the jellyfish from the photo by mistake but you can see an example of how it looks blended together.

Xi (Seedling)
Hello, Friends!
Welcome to the FIFTH month of Dandelion Bloom, a monthly ball-jointed doll kit release.
Each tiny bloom will represent a different theme that changes each month of the year, for the entirety of 2021 (and maybe beyond!) They will be sent to you unassembled and ready to sand, string and customise.
Presenting our second Seedling, Little Dragon Xi. This little bud will only be available for the month of MAY and then we will move to June Blooms! If demand is too much, we may need to close early.
March dolls sold out in about 7-8 minutes so you will need to be fast!
We'll take care of all the major support removal from the printing process, but you'll need to smooth out any leftover supports and give all pieces a fine smoothing over with sandpaper or a dremel. You can remove any visible lines or imperfections with sanding.
We recommend a sandpaper of 400-800 grit for any major work and anything 1500+ for a finishing paper. If you're using a dremel, definitely don't go lower than 300 as this will cause intense scratching that will be harder to remove.
A video will be posted around the time that we produce these little ones, showing you everything that you will receive and talk you through the process of completing your little doll. We will discuss safety, any small supplies that may be useful and explain how to sand and string your bloom, as well as give you a little look into their posing ability.
Seedlings, being blooms that haven't quite blossomed, are a little bit smaller than their floral counterparts. They also are single jointed for ease of printing in this scale. It makes them much easier to work with when sanding too!
All parts are printed in resin and are not cast, so pieces will likely include lines and imperfections for you to sand away and once ready, you must apply some UV protective sealant to protect your little bloom. They are a little more fragile than cast dolls but as long as you don't throw them around and show them respect and kindness, they should be just fine!
These are kits are put together by just two people and they will have imperfections. Please bear in mind that they are a kit and therefore require finishing by you, which is how we are able to offer them for an affordable price. However we will do our best to ensure that you are receiving something that is easy to work with and of high print quality.
The estimated time to smooth and string your bloom is about 2-3 hours. But this is designed to be a fun activity for us to wind down with, in the chaos of the times we are living in. With the addition of painting and blushing, making wigs and fashioning tiny clothes - this is a fun little DIY project for you to get stuck into and if you like, enjoy on a monthly basis with a wide range of critters and creatures to keep you company.
The bunnies will include the following;
- Open Eye head
- Normal chest piece
- Bottom piece
- Human legs and feet
- Arm pieces (Upper arm, lower arm)
- 2 Pairs of hands (fist, open. others available separately)
- One pair of Horns
- One pair of Cloud wings
- One pair of two-tone wings
- We will also include head magnets and elastic.
- No S-hooks are required and therefore will not be included
They are available in 4 skintones.*
- Vintage Plum
- Candied Violet
- Muted Grurple
- Fresh Peach
Due to depth of colour, vintage plum may develop discolouration whilst you are working on them but this disappears once you SEAL them with a UV Cut Spray.
*Colours may vary between batches and at time of production

Due to her smaller size, Pomelo will take the smaller 6mm eyes but these are available in the offer of Mama frapp eyes.

You will have the option if you would like the kit with the jersey we use for our caps or if you'd prefer to use something that you have on hand for cheaper (such as stockings or your own white jersey) A tutorial will be posted this week with how to make your own wig. Each month may explore different styles of wigs!
Shipping will be changed this month as we have upgraded to a new postal account.
A maximum of 4 blooms can ship together before another shipping fee must be paid.
It is to be noted that we are in the UK and in lockdown for a few more weeks. If there are any significant delays we will of course keep you all notified.
You can stay informed on our progress with all blooms on Instagram
If none of the blooms for this month aren't for you, worry not as June blooms will be available in the middle of June. Next month sees Sprout, our little caretaker of the Garden of Imagination. Sprout is the one responsible for bringing the blooms to life.
We'll also see Ember, our little Phoenix, another winged sweetheart.
A second collaboration with QuirkyQritters sees us a very cute little Bird too.

Hello, Friends!

If neither of the blooms for this month aren't for you, worry not as July blooms will be available soon. Next month sees an aquatic theme!
As always each of our little blooms has a reason for its creation.
Ember has dual meaning. As a child, Alex used to keep pigeons as pets. Every day he'd walk to school with his bird and release them at the school gates. By the time he got home, his feathered friend would be back at home waiting for him.
For me, a phoenix represents rebirth and as such, symbolises so much strength.
It is never too late for you to be reborn; Find a new career, change your direction, get out of toxic friendships or relationships. It is never too late to reinvent yourself or to get a new perspective, change your opinion or to better yourself. Change is something that so many of us fear but I think that it is something so important and so necessary if we want to grow.
Just like a phoenix rising from the ashes of their former self, its never too late for us to start over. To try again.
In 2019, I went through a spiritual wake up call. It triggered 2 years of intense self discovery and extreme healing. I barely recognise the person that I used to be. I made major life decisions, moved countries again and took giant leaps of faith, trusting that the universe had my back. This felt like a massive transformation for me. I faced so many of my demons in order to heal from them, I had to learn to accept myself and i had to start over, living on my own in England for a spell while I pieced myself back together. Ember is a reminder that its never too late to do that. Sometimes you just have to find your own happiness and its okay to do that.
Before I left Spain, right at the time of this transformation, Alex and I wrote a song called Embers. Maybe you'll get to hear it when her video is made!
But she is pixie dust
forget me nots
she's autumn leaves
and polka dots
she's exposed
she's bare
laying the contents of her heart there
in the dust
where the embers go
when they no longer glow
and like a supernova
in a flash its all over
and she will be gone with it too.
